Facial
Rejuvenation.

The face is assessed as a connected system of skin, volume, structure, and movement, before anything is recommended.

An approach.
Not a menu.

Most aesthetic consultations begin with a treatment in mind. This one begins with a question: what does this face actually need?

Facial rejuvenation, done well, is a clinical approach to how the face ages, not a procedure selected from a menu. The goal is to understand the face as a connected system: skin condition, volume loss, structural support, and movement patterns. From that understanding, a treatment plan is built.

The clinical standard is results that look undetected. Not evidence of treatment, a face that looks well, rested, and proportionate. Achieving that requires clinical restraint: recommending less rather than more, and planning across time rather than treating in isolation.

The Assessment Framework

What is assessed.

01

Skin

Skin quality changes measurably with age, texture becomes rougher, hydration decreases, and tone becomes uneven. A full skin assessment evaluates these factors as a clinical baseline: what is present, what is declining, and what intervention can reasonably address.

02

Movement

The muscles of the face create expression patterns that become fixed over time. Understanding how a face moves, which muscles are dominant, where tension accumulates, how lines form dynamically, informs where to intervene and, equally, where to leave alone.

03

Structure

Volume loss and skeletal change alter the fundamental framework of the face. Assessing structure means evaluating bone, fat compartments, and soft tissue together, identifying where support has been lost and what is needed to restore balance without distorting proportion.

The Process

How a consultation
with Dr. Berns works.

01

Assessment

Every consultation begins with a full-face evaluation across Skin, Movement, and Structure. Nothing is recommended until the assessment is complete. The assessment is not a preamble, it is the clinical foundation everything else is built on.

02

Personalised Plan

From the assessment, a treatment plan is built, specific to that face, that timeline, and those goals. The plan determines what is appropriate, what is not, and in what sequence treatments should be delivered. It considers how the face will continue to age over time, not only how it looks today.

03

Treatment & Review

Treatments are carried out in accordance with the plan. Results are reviewed and adjustments made. The aim is a long-term clinical relationship, the face is reassessed at each stage and the plan evolves as it continues to age. The goal at every point is the same: results that look natural, last well, and keep pace with how you age.
